York Community High School was ranked No. 3 among DuPage County high schools by the Chicago Tribune, highlighting York’s strong academic performance, student growth, attendance and graduation outcomes.
The rankings consider several measures of student success, including ACT English Language Arts (ELA) and math proficiency, academic growth, consistent attendance and graduation rates. York performed strongly across the board, recording an 80% ACT ELA proficiency rate and 68% ACT math proficiency rate. Students also posted growth in the 64th percentile in ELA and 59th percentile in math.
Beyond academics, York reported an 82% consistent attendance rate and a 95% graduation rate, demonstrating strong outcomes for students throughout their high school experience.
With an enrollment of more than 2,500 students, York’s No. 3 ranking places the school among the top-performing high schools in DuPage County and reflects the continued work of York students, staff and families to support student growth and achievement.
