Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 is a national leader in future-ready learning. The District currently serves more than 8,000 students who reside primarily in the City of Elmhurst and small portions of Oak Brook, Bensenville and Addison.
At the June 18th Board of Education meeting, the Board heard an update from Mariann Lemke, Executive Director of Research and Program Analysis, and Ariana Leonard, Director of Language Acquisition, on the outcome of the first year of the Two-Way Dual Language Immersion program at Fischer Elementary.
The Elmhurst Board of Education approved the appointment of Nikki Tammaru as the Assistant Superintendent for Learning and Leadership Development/Learning and Teaching Team Lead. Her position begins July 1, 2019 as she replaces Dr. Mary Henderson, who is fulfilling her career aspiration of becoming a superintendent in Roselle, IL.

York Community High School has named a total of 2,139 students to the second semester honor roll for the 2018-19 school year, based on their exemplary academic performance.
Students achieving a 3.5 or higher are recognized with High Honors and students achieving 3.0 – 3.4999 grade point average are recognized with Honors.
