Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 is a national leader in future-ready learning. The District currently serves more than 8,000 students who reside primarily in the City of Elmhurst and small portions of Oak Brook, Bensenville and Addison.
In the ongoing monitoring of restrooms at York High School, student vandalism was discovered in restroom stalls containing language of self-harm and hate speech. This vandalism was also reported from a student and parent. D205 administrators and the Elmhurst Police Department thoroughly investigate any and all situations such as this, and believe it is important for parents and family members to have a full understanding of the situation.
The Elmhurst Board of Education approved the appointment of Dr. Kevin Rubenstein as the new Assistant Superintendent of Student Services. He will begin his duties on July 1, 2020.
Dr. Kevin Rubenstein comes to Elmhurst D205 from Lake Bluff Elementary School District 65 in Lake Bluff, IL where he served as Director of Student Services, Technology and Assessment.

York High School Principal Erin DeLuga announced today that she is the finalist for the Lake Zurich High School principalship. Erin will continue in her current role through the end of the 2019-2020 school year.
