Elmhurst District 205’s Innovation Team was pleased to present at the 2019 Act for Impact Model Schools National Conference in Washington D.C. on June 23-26. D205 joined more than 5,000 educators and 25 model schools and innovative districts for more than 100 sessions with the common goal of transforming learning.

At the June 18th Board of Education meeting, the Board heard an update from Mariann Lemke, Executive Director of Research and Program Analysis, and Ariana Leonard, Director of Language Acquisition, on the outcome of the first year of the Two-Way Dual Language Immersion program at Fischer Elementary.
The Elmhurst Board of Education approved the appointment of Nikki Tammaru as the Assistant Superintendent for Learning and Leadership Development/Learning and Teaching Team Lead. Her position begins July 1, 2019 as she replaces Dr. Mary Henderson, who is fulfilling her career aspiration of becoming a superintendent in Roselle, IL.
