Panorama Education Student Survey

D205 prioritizes making data-informed decisions to support students in every aspect of their experience. In collaboration with Panorama Education, D205 students in grades 3-12 have the opportunity to reflect on their strengths through a student survey given twice a year during the 2021-2022 school year. Students in grades 1-2 utilized a teacher perception survey that will also be given in the fall and spring. Here are the questions asked to 3rd-5th grade students, 6th-12th grade students, and 1st-2nd grade teachers.

The survey will provide insights about the student experience that will support the design of social-emotional practices to best support student needs. The results from the survey data will provide invaluable insights into our students’ experiences and how we can improve and adapt our teaching to better meet students’ needs. Student survey responses are not made public to ensure student privacy, and will only be utilized by school staff to support our students. Additionally, Panorama Ed’s practices meet all student data-privacy requirements.

Panorama Ed was selected because of their alignment to the CASEL framework for social emotional learning. This framework is evidence-based and helps cultivate skills that advance student learning and development. The framework is organized around five competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making, and relationship skills.
