Remote Learning/E-Learning
- What is the blended remote learning model?
- Once I choose in person instruction for my child, am I able to change that decision at any time? Similarly, once I choose remote instruction, am I able to change to in-person instruction?
- What will learning look like for all three learning models?
- What will remote learning look like for the All Day Kindergarten program v. Half Day Kindergarten?
- If I registered my kindergartner for All-Day Kindergarten for the 2020-21 school year, may I change to half day?
- If my student chooses dual language kindergarten and then chooses Remote Learning, does this mean that we will be provided with Dual Language via Remote?
- How will Music, Band, Orchestra and Choir instruction occur safely in-person?

Health and Safety
- What health protocols (masks, social distancing, specials, etc.) will D205 incorporate?
- Is there any leeway allowed for students to not be vaccinated by October 15, 2020?
- What type of face covering/mask is required?
- My child will not be able to wear a mask. Will this be a problem if s/he attends in person school? Will this be a problem on the bus?
- Will the staff members be tested for Covid-19 before the semester begins? Especially when coming in contact with our children with medical concerns.
- Will the typical schedule be followed, including inclusion classes which would require children to be traveling in the hallways?
- Does York have a filtration system to help manage the risks associated with airborne exposure? What about the other schools?
- When should I keep my child home from school?
- If my child has been ill, when can he/she return to school?
- How do I report my child’s absence, and what information should I give as to the reason for the absence?
- What happens if a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19?
- How will my child’s medication and health needs be managed?
- How will social distancing be achieved?
- What is the health screening for visitors?
- If a student tests positive and they have siblings in another building are they all quarantined?
- What will our arrival procedures need to look like?
- What happens if a teacher is exposed to COVID from a family member?
- How will the self-certification of temperatures and symptoms be verified?

Special Education Students/Student Services
- Will special education services be offered?
- If IEP/504 students choose Remote, do their speech/language pathologists and support service providers offer remote services or will it be staffed with someone else?
- Does any student with an IEP have the opportunity to attend four days a week OR certain students based on their specific IEPs?
- My student receives speech and social work services plus has a Guided Study at which time he/she usually receives writing help. How will these services be provided? On Wednesdays?
- Will the hybrid schedule in grades 6-12 apply for students in the multi-needs classrooms?
- With the students not being able to wear a face covering consistently or not at all, does this impact their IEP for when they should be pushing into specials or the gen ed classroom?
- Are the students still able to join their gen ed peers for classes throughout the day even though students are in different gen ed classes and that could be possible more exposure?
- If the child has a re-eval this year and the parents chose remote learning and face to face testing is needed, can the testing for the re-eval be completed over the computer?
- If they chose in person, will the services be face to face or will it be more a remote approach where both parties are in the school, but they do the therapy session over the computer instead of face to face?
- If they chose remote learning, will the IEP services for related services and special education minutes going to be decreased like they were in the spring or will the students receive the same minutes?
- Will the online learning be actual classes, not self-study? And if the online learning is self-study at the high school, what is being done for children with ADHD and written expression disorders who struggle with that form of learning?
- Can a parent of a student with a 504 request four days of school?
- Will REACH services be offered?
- Will students have access to intervention and acceleration programming?
- Will reading specialist services be available?
- Are multi needs/ABC students still going out into the community once a week as per their IEP goals? How will we work with students who refuse to leave a mask on or wear a face shield?
- Is a student whose parents have requested an IEP or whose child is under evaluation able to attend 4 days or school?
