2021 Honorable Mention is Addison Tomasetti, an 8th grader.

Her unique perspective of the Chicago skyline is stunning and will display beautifully on our custom merchandise.   Addison's artwork will be used for custom water tumblers and sticker decals.

Foundation 205 (formerly known as the D205 Foundation) is a privately funded non-profit organization dedicated to supporting innovation in education and the advancement of excellence in Elmhurst public schools.  We build partnerships across our community to  enhance the educational opportunities for students at every level throughout our district.

2021 Art Contest Winner is 4th grader, Kaitlyn Fahey.

Her black and white drawing  perfectly represents the feelings from the past year and expresses her inspiration for creating art during the pandemic.  Kaitlyn's artwork will be the featured design for our limited edition 2021 Foundation 205 t-shirts and hoodies.

Congratulations to our other winners whose artwork will be featured on a tumbler, in a 24 notecard pack or 12 month wall calendar.  All merchandise will be available for purchase in May.  Created and produced through a partnership with a top-end vendor from Nashville and all proceeds will support students in D205.  Details for ordering will be available soon.

Awarding 46 Thiems Grants for 2021

On Wednesday, May 26th, Foundation 205 board members traveled across the district to award $99,000 in Thiems grants thanks to the incredibly generous support of our community! Over $43,000 was invested at the elementary school level, nearly $17,000 across the three middle schools and $38,500 for York High School and the Transition Center. Each and every student in D205 will be touched by at least one of these grants next fall when they are able to return to school and have new and exciting educational experiences.  For a complete list of our 2021 Thiems grants, please click here.

Celebrating & supporting the creative ideas educators propose to increase student learning, engagement and enjoyment.

Thank you for participating in our 2nd annual Impact for Education Award program.  This year, nearly 900 teachers will be recognized for their incredible work and over $17,000 was re-invested back into our 16 local Elmhurst business partners.

With the help of students from the Transition Center, we will be packaging all the gift cards and personal notes to be delivered to teachers during the first week of May.
