Speech and Language Services
ARE SPEECH ISSUES IMPACTING MY CHILD'S ABILITY TO LEARN?
Elmhurst CUSD 205 currently provides speech and language services to students in the Early Childhood program, in the elementary and middle schools, and at the high school level. Students receiving these services have a variety of needs from working on correct production of speech sounds to processing language to using augmentative communication devices for communication to using appropriate social language for daily interaction with peers. Individualized Education Plans or IEP’s are developed for all students receiving speech and language services by each school’s Speech-Language Pathologist. Speech-Language Pathologists are part of each school’s special education team. |
