The fourth annual Top Pizza event, sponsored by the District 205 Foundation for Educational Excellence, drew the largest crowd ever as over 475 adults and children gathered at the York High School Commons on April 16 to taste some amazing pizza and support education





2015 Top Pizza Results Are In 


Over 475 people attended the fourth annual Top Pizza event, sponsored by the District 205 Foundation for Educational Excellence on Thursday evening, April 16th.  Delicious pies from Lou Malnati's, Francescos, Mimo's, Armands, Sarpino's, Fratello’s, Mamma Maria’s, Papa John’s, Pazzi di Pizza and Roberto’s were generously donated for tasting.  While the emphasis was on tasting  local pizzas, the BIG winners of the night were the students in Elmhurst public schools.  All of the evening's proceeds, more than $5,000, will go directly to future Thiems Grants, targeted projects and other initiatives to benefit Elmhurst public schools.

The Foundation is extremely grateful to all participating pizzerias, for without their support, this event would not be possible. The Foundation also thanks for the musical entertainment and NHS students from York High School that volunteered to help at the event.

Proceeds from this event benefit all public schools in the Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 with programs and signature projects that provide enrichment in technology, math, science, social studies, literacy, foreign languages, physical education and the arts.
